Services provided on support to UNHCR for the implementation of activities under the Safe Access to Fuel and Energy (SAFE) Strategy

Based on the analysis of primary data collected in and around refugee camps in Ethiopia as well as secondary data on cooking fuel in refugee settings in the region, the following services are being carried out:
- Development of a tool for the supply and demand assessment of energy sources for cooking in refugee camps.
- Writing a manual on the supply/demand of energy for cooking in refugee camps and the potential for establishing wood-fuel plantations and the provision of other sustainable bioenergy options as well promoting the use of energy-efficient technologies for households in refugee camps.
